Event Description
The Kids Shred has become a true Opening tradition. Hosted by Slash Snowboards and snowboard legend Gigi Rüf together with Ästhetiker veteran Steve Gruber, the session gives young riders the chance to ride, learn and get inspired by some of the sport’s most iconic personalities. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, the kids are split into groups according to their riding level, making sure everyone gets the most out of their time on snow.
And because a proper shred day deserves a proper ending, Saturday wraps up with a Pizza Party for all participating kids, where they can make their own pizzas and hang out together after riding. Photographer Markus “Fischi” Fischer captures the action and unforgettable moments along the way.

Is the liftpass included?
No, the listpass is not included.
Where do I register my kid(s) onsite?
Between 9:30 and 10 am at the Opening Tent at Fernerhaus. Make sure to be there on time.
What is included in the Pizza Party?
Your kid(s) get to make their own pizzas with the toppings of their choice. Pizza and drinks for the kids are included. Parents are welcome to join but will need to pay for their own food and drinks. The Pizza Party will take place on Saturday after riding, at around 1 pm.
My kid is a beginner. Is that possible?
Yes, absolutely. We will split the kids into two groups based on their riding level. While one group heads to the park, the beginners will stay close to Fernerhaus to practice their first freestyle basics in a safe and fun environment.
Can I join the riding as a parent?
Absolutely! Parents are more than welcome to join the group and ride along.
