Hintertux Park Opening Celebrates its 20th Anniversary from October 3rd – 6th 2024
For two decades, snowboard enthusiasts have been flocking to the Tux Valley at the beginning of October to kick off the new winter season. From October 3rd – 6th, 2024, the 20th anniversary of the Hintertux Park Opening will be celebrated – a true milestone that brings back many memories for companions. Riders from all over the world, industry representatives with the latest products to test, and freestyle fans are looking forward to the anniversary edition at Hintertux glacier.
For the 20th time in a row, the Hintertux Park Opening traditionally kicks off the series of park openings. The Opening is for everyone and now brings together generations: kids and parents, pro-riders, and scene icons, they all gladly return year after year. Many shared memories unite them. Here, lifelong friendships were forged, nights were celebrated together, and the park was conquered during the day.
Werni´s Transfer Games by Quiksilver
AIRTIME – Pro-rider Werni Stock from Zillertal hosts Werni’s Transfer Games by Quiksilver, a team session with various transfer options on the jump. A diverse field of riders will meet in the park to tackle the feature in teams. The session is open for everyone, please register here for it. It’s all about creative riding and new angles.
Last year’s outstanding rider was Norwegian Oyvind Kirkhus taking home most of the awards. Who will claim the titles at the anniversary event?

Since two decades Betterpark up on Hintertux glacier is the first choice for riders from all over the world to start into the new winter season in early autumn. Betterpark Hintertux is known for offering lines and features for all riding levels, freestylers – no matter if beginner, advanced or pro – will have fun at the park. Wille Kaufmann and his team provide an ever-changing setup until early December, including a Halfpipe.

Kids Shred by Gigi
The Kids Shred is a long-standing tradition at the Opening. Snowboard legends Gigi Rüf and Steve Gruber take over the coaching roles and assist the kids. Photographer Markus “Fischi” Fischer captures these unforgettable moments. The enthusiasm and the motivation of the little ones is truly inspiring, the future of the sport is in good hands. CANARY CARTELPLAYGROUND SESSION
The Canary Cartel Playground Session is back, going down on Sunday noon directly in front of Fernerhaus. Everybody is welcome to hit the features to enjoy the last Opening day together with a fun and playful session. Your chance to win Burger vouchers for the restaurant nearby.
Live in CONCERT - SEMPRE CAOZ
With their band SEMPRE CAOZ, four friends from Tyrol have developed from a small punk attraction into a rock band over the years. With their performances at home and abroad, they are known for their energetic shows. Dirty guitars, smashed drums, powerful bass and screaming vocals are just a few facets of Semper Caoz. In 2023 the band released there album DUST. A self-written and produced production during the pandemic. You can hear a varied songwriting, whereby the focus for the Alternative Rock genre has not been lost from sight A little dark but very focused, they aim to express their feelings from this time. movie premiere night
The Movie Premiere Night in the Tux Center offers a very special treat this year with the world premiere of Schnitzeltime II. Clemens Millauer, professional rider and filmmaker, is presenting his latest project for the very first time with protagonists Anna Gasser, Werni Stock, Tom Tramnitz, Sani Albibabic und Gigi Rüf.
